Ship in the middle of the city

Location: Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong

This ship didn’t actually sail to the middle of Hong Kong, it was built there. Whampoa ship is one of the main tourist attraction Hong Kong has to offer and one of the most unusual commercial centers in the world. It has the size of an actual cruise ship and inside you can find many restaurants, shops and even a hotel. To see how much Whampoa really is, just look it up on Google Maps, or better yet take a trip to Hong Kong.

Hong Kong highlights. Catch the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak

The Peak Tramway is a funicular railway in Hong Kong, which carries both tourists and residents to the upper levels of Hong Kong Island. Running from Central district to Victoria Peak via the Mid-Levels, it provides the most direct route and offers good views over the harbour and skyscrapers of Hong Kong. The Peak Tram's route from Central district to Victoria Peak covers a distance of about 1.4 kilometres and a height difference of just under 400 metres. The line has two pronounced curves, one to the left immediately after leaving the lower terminus, and the other to the right in the upper half of the ascent. The gradient also varies considerably throughout the ascent. Recorded October 13, 2009. The video begins on the Star Ferry as I cross Victoria Harbour from Kowloon to central Hong Kong. Next I admire the view from Victoria Peak before descending the mountain on the tram funicular. The video concludes back on the Star Ferry as I journey back to Kowloon. Enjoy this classic Hong Kong tradition and enjoy some of the best views across the city. Try to sot on the right hand side for the best views on the way up this restored funicular railway.

The Peninsula Hong Kong (Chinese: 香港半島酒店) is one of the most internationally recognizable hotels in Hong Kong.[1] Opened in 1928, it is Hong Kong's very first hotel. It is located at the junction of Nathan Road and Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Relive the glamorous colonial past with High Tea at the Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong.

If you think Lan Kwai Fong and Soho are popular, just wait until dark. Indeed, I believe this is the real raison d'etre of the two areas.

Hong Kong highlights. Symphony of lights

Watch these from the Sky Bar at the top of the Sheraton Hotel & Towers where you can enjoy a drink and the fireworks synchronised to music in style.
"A Symphony of Lights" has been awarded the world's "Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show" by Guinness World Records. This nightly (at 8pm) spectacle combines interactive lights of 44 key buildings on both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon with musical effects to showcase the vibrancy and glamorous night vista of Victoria Harbour.
The show consists of colored lights on the outsides of buildings, lasers, spotlights, and fireworks (on special holidays), all synchronized to music. The buildings located on both sides of Victoria Harbour span a distance of 6.5 Km or 4 miles, so there is no one place to see all the buildings at the same time. The best locations for viewing the show are: Kowloon side - upper deck platform between Star Ferry and the Avenue of the Stars, or Island Side - from the waterfront at the Convention Center. The music for the show is played publicly at the above two locations, and on the radio at 103.4 and 106.8 FM. This multiple computer controlled show is 13 min 40 sec long.

This clip gives tips on Bargaining in China.

I saw in some clips two sellers would corner the customer in the stall so that the person could not walk away. They were blocking his exit. Let the buyer beware.
